The wire replacement package fixes a potential problem where the toilet’s blade either only opens partially or won’t open at all during flushing.
Toilets manufactured before 10/19/1992, the wire replacement package is not available and the 24571 will not fit.
Toilets manufactured after 10/20/1992 and after use 24571.
To determine the manufacturing date of the toilet, look at the data plate on the front of the toilet. The 5 digit number is the model number. The 6 digit number is a code number (manuf. date code). The first 2 digits indicate the year, the next 2 digits indicate the month and the last two digits indicate the day the toilet was manufactured.
