It wasn't a major pain on our old popup, but that had a larger cord compartment than the Fleetwood Niagara we purchased.

The kit has all the parts needed for either a J-box conversion, mouse hole conversion, or new installation. The important part for those looking to do the mouse hole conversion is the reducer plate to allow you to install the 30A locking receptacle in the hole left when you remove the old cover. Other parts include a locking, waterproof cord end, gaskets, junction box and cover for J-box, etc.

The conversion, along with ending the fight with the shore power cord, frees up the current cord compartment for other storage. That's always a plus!

And, the kit is made by Marinco, so the quality is great!
